How to install Google Analytics on Wordpress Blog

As what you would do with most websites, I decided to implement Google Analytics tracking onto this Wordpress blog.

Searching the Plugins library got me Google Analyticator

How to install Google Analytics on Wordpress Blog using Google Analyticator:

• Download the plugin zip file
• Extract the google-analyticator folder from the zip file into the /wp-content/plugin folder on your blog site
• Log in to your Wordpress and find your Plugin option from the dashboard
• Activate the Google Analyticator plugin
• Go to the Google Analyticator options page (by clicking on the Options Page within the plugin description)
• Enter your Google Analytics ID where prompted.

I’ve also chosen to enable the footer-tracking, which puts the Analytics tracking at the footer of the blog pages. This not only reduces the page load time, but also discounted any improper page load from being tracked as at the moment I am only interested on actual readers and not on partial page loads (e.g., server timeouts, etc).
