Last part of your web design involves thinking about "what's next".
Okay, you have made a decision to get a website. You have set aside the money to produce the website. You've talked to the designers and agreed on a good design according to the previous two tips here. In other words, it is going to be a perfect website! But, is it enough?
Don't forget the most important business element: CUSTOMERS!
Get found! Tell the world about your site. Tell the search engines and business directories about your site by suggesting your URL to them. Tell other websites about your site. Tell your customers. Tell whoever you talk to, or email with. Get them to come and check it out. Make plans for this, and set aside proper marketing money for it too!
Optimise your website through Search Engine Optimisation to make sure it stays above your competition when people search for the products you sell on Google, Yahoo, etc.
Remember, 0 visitors = 0 purchases = $0, which wouldn't be much left after the taxman takes his cut!
So, remember these three tips for your effective web design: Structure, Action, and Get Found!
